Marianne C. Cassini

March 9, 1934 — November 23, 2023

Marianne C. Cassini (Nee Glasschroeder)

Our beloved Marianne Cassini peacefully entered God’s embrace on November 23, 2023. From her birth on March 9, 1934, Marianne poured love and faith into the world. As a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, the home she built was a haven of warmth and affection. Her legacy lives on through the family she raised, a living testament to the values of kindness, resilience, and unwavering support.

Marianne was reunited with her beloved husband, Thomas and grandson, David on November 23, 2023 at the age of 89. Loving mother of Lisa (Bill) Deau, Tom (Leila) Cassini, Joe (Susie) Cassini, and Andy (Terri) Cassini. Cherished grandma of Emily (Jeremy), Megan, Julia (Sam), Thomas (Jenna), Glenna (Wyatt), Sophia and Cooper. Beloved GG of Jackson, Ellason and Benson. She is further survived by loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marianne, in her own quiet way, embraced life in a way that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She and Tom, her husband of 67 years liked to take road trips, exploring new places and creating cherished memories. Their little blue cottage Up North was one of their favorite retreats, where they found moments of joy and tranquility.

In addition to her adventures, Marianne dedicated time to community service. As a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer in the St. Alphonsus school library, she inspired young minds and passed on her love of reading. Marianne also enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, crafting, and baking, and her loyalty to Wisconsin sports added a touch of spirited excitement to our lives.

But Marianne's true magic lay in her ability to turn ordinary moments into extraordinary celebrations. Holidays and birthdays were more than dates on the calendar, they were opportunities for her to cook special meals, create traditions and lasting memories for our family. As we reflect on Marianne's life, we cherish the genuine love she infused into every gathering. Her spirit will forever guide us, and her legacy will continue to flourish through the love and values she instilled in us all.

Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale) on Thursday December 7 from 9-10:45AM with the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11AM.
