Margaret J. Sherry

Margaret J. Sherry, a beloved figure in the Milwaukee community, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 12, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Margaret embraced a life dedicated to caring for others, both in her professional and personal endeavors.

With a cherished career in cosmetology, Margaret owned a beauty salon that became a cornerstone of the neighborhood, where she shared her passion for beauty and self-care with countless clients throughout the years. Her hands not only beautified but also uplifted the spirits of those around her, reflecting her nurturing nature.

Margaret was known for her selflessness; she always put others first, embodying kindness in every interaction. She looked forward to Friday evenings, where she enjoyed sharing delicious fish fry meals with her family and friends. These gatherings were not just about the food; they were celebrations of love, laughter, and connection—moments she deeply treasured.

Family was Margaret's heart. She is survived by her devoted son, David Sherry Jr., and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Sherry. Her love extended to her stepdaughters, Lauraine Edir and Shannon Forbis, as well as to her beloved grandchildren, Micah, Jullian, David III, Liam, and Declan. Each of them holds a special place in her heart, and she cherished the memories created together.

Margaret's love for animals was another testament to her vast heart. Over the years, she opened her home to many stray cats, determined to save their lives whenever she could. Among her beloved companions was her cherished chihuahua, Cortez, who brought joy and energy to her life for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Sherry Sr., whose love and memory she will forever carry, as well as her brother, Charles Heeren Jr., and her parents, Gertrude and Charles Heeren Sr. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping the incredible woman Margaret became.

On February 24, 2025, family and friends will gather to honor Margaret's life at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel in Greenfield. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. It will be a time to reflect on her meaningful contributions to the lives of others and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the family.

Margaret J. Sherry will be deeply missed, remembered for her unwavering spirit, compassion, and the profound impact she made on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
