Mabel J. Hopinka

Passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2008 at the age of 59. Loving mother of Jesse, Jay, Jerilynn, and James Awonohopay. Dear grandmother and great-grandmother of Christopher, Jessica, Darren, Justin, David, Mike, Jay, Brittany, Breanna, Brandon, James Jr., Larissa, Darren Jr., Brooklyn, Aaliyah, and Breon. Mabel is preceded in death by her brothers Orville and John and her mother Beatrice. Funeral service 2 PM Saturday, January 3 2009 at MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL. Visitation at the funeral home from 12 Noon until time of service. Private interment. Mabel was a proud member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, and an active member of the Wittenberg community during her life. Mabel was an independent and hardworking woman who loved to make beadwork, solve puzzles, and cook for those she loved. Mom, you have taught us well and you will be greatly missed. We love you
