Timm, Lydia Marie (Nee Delikat) Went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 just ten days short of her 104th birthday. Born to George and Elsie Delikat (nee Richter) on January 11, 1915 in Cheboygan, Michigan. She married Floyd Charles Timm on June 22, 1935, in Milwaukee. They were married for 68 years until Floyd’s passing in 2003. Precious mother of Floyd (Carol), Cheryl (the late Dennis) Seifert, Neil and Wayne. Loving grandmother of Michelle Rubotske, Eric Timm, Jill Seifert-Geiger and Nancy Timm. Proud great-grandmother of Levi Wold. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Mom spent about 8 years working at the soda fountain at Weiman’s Dime Store on Mitchell Street, then the shopping mecca for the southside of Milwaukee during the 1930’s. She had a real knack for preparing fancy ice cream sundaes for her many customers, including our Dad, who always seemed to end up with extra cherries and nuts on his sundae. When others would see the delightful sundae our Dad had been served, they would ask for one “just like that gentleman is having.” She happily served in that capacity until it was time to start a family. As much as she liked her job at Weiman’s, the one she truly loved was her role as a wife and mother. Our mom was the perfect example of how God wants all mothers to be. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL, 4747 So. 60th St. Greenfield from 4pm until 7pm. Additional visitation on Friday, January 11, 2019 at ST. MARTINI EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1512 So. Cesar E. Chavez Drive, Milwaukee from 12Noon until the Funeral Service at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Arlington Park Cemetery.
