Luciano "Lou" Benavides

Benavides, Luciano "Lou" Entered God's loving arms at the age of 79 years on September 15th, 2015. Beloved husband and best friend of Sarah (nee Torcivia). Cherished father of Patricia (Paul) Dillon, Steven and David Benavides. Adored Papa of Steven Dillon, Christopher(Heather) Dillon, Adrianna and Peter Benavides. "Great" Grandfather of Siena Dillon. Also survived by his sisters Stella Martin and Yolanda Doney, other family and special friends. Lou began work as a bellman in 1965, worked his way up as night auditor, assistant manager and became General manager for Holiday Inns and Sheraton Hotels. He retired in 1999. Lou's thoughtfulness and humor brightened many lives. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was happiest when his entire family was up north with him and Sarah. His loving, generous spirit will continue in all of our hearts forever. Till we meet again, Papa. Visitation will he held at Our Lady of Lourdes (3722 S. 58th St) on Friday September 18th from 9-10:45 AM. Mass will follow at 11 AM. Burial to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated for masses and his favorite charities.
