Great-great-grandmother of Olivio, Josef and Genevieve Louise Schiavolin, Lauren Louise and Andrew Tadych. Further survived by nieces, nephews many friends and relatives. Louise was born in Milwaukee on October 11, 1917 to immigrant parents Adolf and Anna (Trettin) Knispel. Both died within an hour of each other during the flu epidemic of 1918, leaving their orphaned girls Louise, Emma and Kate to be raised at the Mooseheart Orphanage in Aurora, Illinois. Louise loved her Mooseheart upbringing and kept in close touch with the classmates she considered to be family. After graduating Mooseheart, Louise moved to Wisconsin and later married Joe Czarapata. She was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 8th and Scott and had a strong Christian faith that was a light to many. In the 1960s she worked with children in the urban core for an early childhood intervention program. Her small earnings allowed her to save for a cabin in Minocqua, WI, where she spent many happy summers with her family on Spider Lake in the Woodruff area. After the death of her husband in 1986 Louise continued an active and joyful life, regularly volunteering at Mt. Carmel nursing home, oil painting, crocheting, and eventually relocating at age 89 to her dream spot of Land O' Lakes, WI (God's Country). She never missed a day of praying her devotions or a Packers game. She shared her love for Christ with all. GG will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family extends a special thanks to Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Rhinelander, WI for all their wonderful care given to Louise. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL, Franklin, WI. on Monday February 8, 2016 from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Private Interment. Contributions in Louise's name may be made to St. Marcus Lutheran Church 2215 North Palmer St. Milwaukee, WI. 53212.
