Passed away in West Allis, WI on May 7, 2019 at the age of 97. Louis was born in Tell City, Indiana on January 10, 1922, the son of Stephen and Anna (Wulff) Montgomery. Louis married Marian Grant on September 9, 1946. They were introduced by Louis's neighblor, Maude LaMar. Louis is survived by his wife Marian (nee Grant), and two children, Gail (Jon Ash) of West Allis, WI and Stephen (Carolyn) of Franklin, WI; grandchildren Katie (Edward) Behling, Tammy (Trevor Mantey) Jeske, David Montgomery and Sarah Montgomery and Justin Philipps; and great-grandchildren Alec Sery, Leanna Jeske, and Khloe and Kelly Behling . Louis was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gladys Hagen. Louis was active in his church (Christ United Methodist Church-Greenfield), various Masonic organizations (Damascus and Daylite lodges, Ivanoe Commandry, and many others), and, for 32 years as an usher and tour guide for the Milwaukee Brewers. He had a love for baseball and the people he met along the way. Sheepshead was his favorite pastime with his Brewers buddies and friends from the Village at Manor Park. Louis lives on in the lives of those he touched, loved and inspired. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his church, Christ United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM and funeral service at 5:00 PM at Christ United Methodist Church, 5200 S. 48th Street, Greenfield, WI 53220.
