Louis J Kruczynski

Louis John Kruczynski, “Lou”, age 92, passed away at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus on Sunday, January 30, 2022, after declining health with dementia Lou was born in 1929 in Milwaukee to Walter and Telka (Ruchalski) Kruczynski. He joined the Navy at age 17, serving 20 years. Lou was a veteran of the Korean War, he served time on aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines, he was stationed in Antarctica, and work in the Pentagon. After retiring from the Navy in 1965, he and Carol returned to Greendale to raise their daughters. He acquired his insurance license and worked for Farmers Insurance Group for many years until opening his own agency. Lou was a private pilot and enjoyed flying his airplane, attending naval reunions across the country and telling a good story. Lou is survived by his daughters, Sally Mushynski, Kathy Muehlbauer (Don), son-in-law Herbert Leppien; his sister Evelyn Nowakowski; grandchildren, Katie (Dan), Kirstin (Steve), Ashley (Kyle), Andrew (Jenni), Amanda, and Matthew (Theresa); great-grandchildren, Oscar, Ellis, Elena, Adaline, Clark, Beau, Madeleine, Thomas, and Theodore; and his former wife, Carol. He is further survived by his dear friend Sarah. Preceded in death by his oldest daughter, LuAnn Leppien, son-in-law Mark Mushynski, and his beloved dog, Sam Boy. No services will be held per Lou's request. Private burial with family is planned at the Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove, WI at a future date.
