Lois Jean Mcguire

McGuire, Lois J. (Nee Doxtater) Passed to the spirit world on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at age 72. Born in Sturgeon bay, WI on February 13, 1940, she spent her childhood years with foster parents Frank and Susan VanderVenter of Bayfield, WI and graduated from BHS in 1958. After a few years in Minneapolis, she moved to Chicago and had a ten-year marriage to Robert McGuire, and finally made her home in Milwaukee with her chosen family. She was a caregiver all her life, in hospitals and nursing homes. She was a very special auntie to Thirza DeFoe, now working ion Broadway in New York and to Tehya john. She leaves behind a sister, Patricia DeFoe, brother and life-long confidante, Jim Morrin, BFF's Carol and Butch and many nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Her loving spirit, warmth and humor will be greatly missed by anyone who had the honor of knowing her. Memorial visitation in the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 11 to 1 PM.
