Lisa R. Martin

June 17, 1973 — January 22, 2021

Lisa Renee Martin (nee McLean) was born on June 17, 1973 and her exemplary life of 47 years ended unexpectedly on January 22, 2021. Loving wife to Robert Martin; proud Mom of Shaun, Jenna and Jack; cherished daughter of Diane McLean and Michael (Kristine) McLean; big sister to Danielle, Brittany and Hannah McLean; daughter-in-law to Mike and Kathy Martin and Ross Trimboli. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Lisa joins her beloved Grandparents Herbert and Kathleen Volk, Kenneth and Rosella McLean and Mother-in-law Jackie Trimboli, who preceded her in death and will welcome her home. She attended high school at St. Mary’s Academy and continued her education at Alverno College where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. She received a second Master’s degree from National Louis University. In 1999 she began teaching for Milwaukee Public Schools, where she continued to further her career as a Science Teacher Leader at Central Office. She held a deep passion for enriching the lives of MPS students, held her fellow staff in the highest regard and is responsible for growing the MPS STEM Fair to be one of the largest and most inclusive in the state of Wisconsin. Lisa and Robert were married in 2001 and had three beautiful children that were her pride and joy. She enjoyed time with her family playing games, managing a busy household, and celebrating each other’s milestones. Lisa lived her life giving of herself and her legacy will live on in so many of us who have been touched by her guidance, warmth and kindness. She spoke her mind, stood up for others and could always lift your spirit with a song. As everyone’s biggest cheerleader, Lisa had a unique ability to inspire creativity and individuality. With her heart of gold and a touch of sass, we know our guardian angel will always be by our side. “Love you lots!” Memorial Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (3722 S. 58th St. Milwaukee, WI 53220) on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 10:00-10:45am with a brief service following at 11am. Memorials to STEM Forward at https://www.stemforward.org/ or to the family at http://bit.ly/martinfamily-gofundme are greatly appreciated. Please enter off the parking lot on east side of the building, this will be the only open entrance. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.
