Lisa R. Krueger, 51, of Waukesha, WI passed away on October 6, 2021. Lisa was born on November 20, 1969, to Bernice and Matthew Kallio in Springfield, IL. They later moved to Fond du Lac, WI where she attended Goodrich High School. After graduating high school Lisa went on to study English at Bradley University (Peoria, IL). She continued her education receiving a second degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. After working as an occupational therapist for 12 years Lisa went on to get her master’s degree in Education (MEd) with an emphasis in Adult and Continuing Education. Anyone who knew Lisa knew her passion for helping others. She spent years providing service in a mental health setting in her career as a healthcare professional. Outside of work, she continued to support others through volunteering. Lisa volunteered for many organizations including the Food Pantry of Waukesha and several local women’s shelters. Lisa was a devoted wife. She met her husband Doug Krueger while they were both working at Gordon Furniture. They married on July 20, 1995. Together, over the past 26 years, Lisa and Doug have had many memories including weekend getaways, golf outings, and hiking excursions with their grandchildren. The simplest joys in life brought Lisa happiness. She loved shopping sprees with her mom and sister, sitting at home with Doug enjoying a glass of wine, and decorating the Christmas tree during the holidays. Lisa is survived by her husband Doug Krueger, her parents Matthew and Bernice Kallio, sister Amy Kallio-Gronewold (Kyle), nieces Leisel and Sophia, step-children Brent Krueger and Courtney Krueger (Tillman Edwards), and grandchildren Tillman Jr, Caelynn, Caleigh, Tyler and Miriana.
