Lisa Jean Ostrowski, born on October 20, 1963, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, left this world on March 30, 2025, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was a beacon of light to all who knew her, effortlessly drawing people in with her warm smile. Lisa had an innate ability to make friends wherever she went, a social spirit that touched the lives of many.
A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Lisa earned her degree in accounting and worked diligently as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Her strong work ethic and dedication were admired by her colleagues and co-workers. She was a great mentor to many.
Lisa cherished the moments spent with her family, especially at the family cabin in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where laughter and memories were created with her parents, siblings and beloved niece and nephews. Family was incredibly important to her. Lisa reveled in her role as both aunt and great aunt.
She leaves behind her beloved mother, Barbara and her cherished siblings: Linda (Bob) Babel, Mary Beth, and Karen (Steve) Schroeder. Her legacy continues through her valued relationships with her nephews and niece including Kyle Yauck, Melissa (Brad) Bechler, Michael Yauck, Luke (Claire) Schroeder and Noah (Tabitha) Schroeder. Lisa enjoyed being a great aunt to Maya and Jackson "JT”, adding joy and love to their lives.
Lisa loved spending time with those important to her above all else. She would organize and host get-togethers with both family and friends to enjoy what would frequently become competitive game nights. Lisa was always up for an adventure and enjoyed traveling. She made memories on trips to Spain, Great Britain, Alaska, and a much cherished “leaf-peeping” trip to the east coast. Lisa was a lifelong fan of Bruce Springsteen and attended numerous concerts throughout the years. She enjoyed listening to all of his music and was so excited when she added a signed, framed “Born in the USA” LP to her memorabilia collection.
She joins her father, Carl, who proceeded her in death and whose memory she continued to carry close in her heart these past several years.
Though Lisa is no longer here with us, her infectious spirit, kindness and irrepressible joy will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.
