Lila Race

Race, Lila (Nee Pawelec) Age 67, was Born to Eternal life on Thursday, May 22, 2014. She was surrounded by loved ones. Loving mother of Sean (Jennifer) Race. Dear grandmother of Nathan and Andrew. She is further survived by her sister Barbara (Craig) Blazer, her brother Don (Karen) Pawelec, her former husband Donald Race, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded death by her parents Zygmunt and Marie Pawlec. For many years, she operated Lily's Beauty Salon on Cass Street where she served many loyal customers. She loved to travel, go to festivals, and spend time with friends; however, her greatest joy was being "Grandma Lily". She will be sadly missed. Visitation will be in the Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM. A vigil service will be held at 7 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31 from 9 to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH (6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale, WI). Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
