Leo Joseph Costello

Costello, Leo Joseph Born July 12, 1929 in Fond du Lac WI, and born to eternal life May 3, 2014. Beloved husband of Jean(nee Fisher). Dear father of four wonderful sons, Michael(Laura), Timon(Sandy), Daniel(Kris) and Patrick(Therese). Loving grandfather of Kyle, Bethany, Eric, Brigid, Colleen, Shawn, Sarah, Quinn, Erinn, Everett, Shaylen and great grandson Jack Costello. Dear brother of Elaine Lefever and Rose Mary Costello both of Fond du Lac. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers David and Robert, his sister Rita Costello and his granddaughter Erinn Costello. Leo proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Canisteo. He earned an Electrical Engineering degree from Marquette University and later retired from the Eaton Corporation. He moved to Greendale in 1963 and became a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Church. He was given the Service in Administration Award for the many years of service on the Building and Grounds Committee at St. Alphonsus. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 505 for 13 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #416 and served on the Honor Guard. Leo was proud of his Irish Heritage. He loved fishing, golfing, reading, traveling and working in his rose and vegetable gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Church, 6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale, from 12:00 to 1:45pm with Funeral Mass at 2:00pm. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Alphonsus School Endowment Fund.
