Leo C. Ledzian

January 26, 1921 — August 26, 2010

Ledzian, Leo C. Resident of Franklin since 1954. Age 89. Born into Eternal Life on August 26, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Teofila(nee Snajkowska), sisters, Valeria and Wanda (Henry Budd), brothers, William(Mardale) and Walter(Helen), beloved wife, Sally(nee Kwasniewski) and son, Paul(Cheryl). Dear father of John(Dorothea)Ledzian and Kathy Anderson. Proud grandpa of Sara(Geoff)Swosinski, John(Jenny), Michelle, Mary(Scott)Beyer and Michael. Equally proud of great-grandchildren, Tyler and Joshua Ledzian and Reina Swosinski. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leo served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1940 and in World War II from 1942-1945, Army-Air Force, as a radio mechanic that took him around the world to Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Brazil, West Africa, Liberia and Dakar. He was an enthusiastic hunter, trapshooter and fisherman, duck/decoy carver and he excelled in any home repair or building project that he took on. He was a retiree of Sheet Metal Workers #18 and was awarded a commendation for 50+ years of membership. The family would like to thank Dr. James Mazzulla for the many years of medical care that he provided their father and for the time he spent just asking how things were, to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for their care and support, Mitchell Manor Adult Daycare, St. Ann's and especially all of the staff that became family at Heritage Court/West Allis-Memory Care. They took exceptional care of our father these past 9 months and will always affectionately remember his nickname, "Mr. Russell Stover." Visitation at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 30 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service at 7pm. Private interment at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
