Kurt Eric Blumberg, beloved husband, father, veteran, and educator, passed away in his home on October 5, 2024, in Greendale, Wisconsin, at the age of 79. Born on March 1, 1945, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Kurt's early years were the foundation of a life marked by dedication, resilience, service, and the pursuit of knowledge.
After completing his service as an officer in the Navy, Kurt obtained a Master's degree in industrial engineering. He enjoyed his time as an engineer but found his true passion in teaching. Kurt spent 24 years as a respected instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). His students and colleagues will remember him not only for his intelligence and analytical mind but also for the genuine care he invested in the success and well-being of those around him. It was a source of great pride to see his students excel and move on to reputable careers.
Aside from his career, Kurt's interests were diverse. He held a deep appreciation for researching his family history, ensuring that future generations would understand their roots and the legacy they inherited. Automobiles were a passion throughout his life, which he shared with his sons. A devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, he enjoyed the thrills of the game and the sense of community the team inspired. A self-taught investor, he found joy in navigating the complexities of the stock market, applying the same rigor he was known for in his professional endeavors.
Above all, Kurt cherished the moments spent with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lynn Mary Blumberg, with whom he shared a loving partnership that lasted 50 years. Their shared journey of life and love will continue through their two sons, Kurt Scott Blumberg and Christopher Michael Blumberg. Kurt's deep love and loyalty were a constant source of comfort and joy in the lives of his family.
Kurt will be eternally missed by his family and friends, yet they take solace in the countless memories he bestowed upon them. Kurt's life was a testament to the values he held dear: love for family, dedication to education, and service to his country. As we say goodbye to Kurt Eric Blumberg, we celebrate the lives he touched and the indelible impact he made on those privileged to know him.
