Gage, Kenneth E. "Ken" Age 76, of Milwaukee, passed away on January 17, 2012. He was a devoted husband to Barbara (nee Kentowski) who preceded him in death in 1995. He was a loving father to Steven (Mary Pat) and proud grandfather of Steven II and Bradley. Survived & dearly missed by brothers & sisters-in-law; Kenneth & Gloria Kolodziejski and Larry & Kaye Kentowski. Further survived by great aunt Caroline Scharmach, nephews Jeff, Dan & Eric Kentowski, relatives/friends. Ken's remarkable life began as a post-depression baby. After his mother died when he was 7 yrs old, his father sent him & his 2 brothers to be raised at the old Children's Home. He attended the old Boy's Tech H.S. & studied to become a machinist. Even though a gifted athlete, especially at baseball as a 3B, he had to work during school. He set "duck pins" at a local south side bar. Upon graduation in 1953, he enlisted in the US Marines & proudly served our country, stationed in Atsugi, Japan. He became an aviation technician for jet fighters flying missions over the Korean peninsula, earned 2 medals and rose to the rank of Sergeant when he was honorably discharged. Upon return to the States in late 1956, he met Barbara, the true love of his life, and married in 1958. He worked at several local companies before being hired by the old Allen-Bradley Co., where he had a wonderful 36 yr. career during its golden era. Though saddened by the loss of his bride around the time of his retirement, he enjoyed the past 17 yrs hanging out with his fellow AB retirees, traveling, helping his son & family, and proudly supporting his 2 grandsons. Ken was ALWAYS present at their many sporting events, music performances and theater productions. He will be truly missed by many and left his mark on everyone who met & knew him.
