Kenneth C. Beckner Kenneth (Kenny) Charles Beckner, 80, passed away on Monday afternoon, April 11, 2022. Kenny was born November 21, 1941 in Hales Corners, WI to Leland and Celia (Ottmann) Beckner. He grew up in St. Martins, WI and then served 4 years in the US Air Force. He was stationed at George AFB in California as an aircraft mechanic. Upon returning home in 1965, he met his future wife, Sharon and they were married on October 1, 1966. They lived in an apartment and then a duplex in West Allis, WI and then built their home in the Town of Vernon, WI in 1974 where they raised their 2 children and retired. Kenny is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon (Dreikosen) Beckner, daughter Donna (Jonathan) Lloyd, son Todd (Katie) Beckner, his 5 granddaughters: Olivia and Gabby Lloyd, Lyla, Greta and Hazel Beckner, his granddogs Lulu and Reggie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Celia (Ottmann) Beckner, and his sister Joan Slade. Kenny was proud of his kids and grandkids. Over the years, he enjoyed deer and turkey hunting as well as fishing. He loved dogs (especially dachshunds), playing the slots, following Nascar, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and a good Friday night fish fry. Among other vacations, he was able to cruise with Sharon to the Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii. He wasn’t a big drinker but he was the one to pour the Jager Bomb shots at family holiday celebrations. His blue eyes sparkled and his smile got even bigger when he was up to no good, which happened often at gatherings with loved ones. The family will honor Kenny with a private celebration of life.
