Kelly Kay Walkowiak

June 15, 1969 — April 23, 2017

Walkowiak, Kelly Kay (nee Denniston) Found her place in the sun and was reunited with her mom, Coke, on April 23, 2017. Kelly was born on June 15, 1969 in Wausau to Terry and Colleen Denniston. Kelly always said that she was a pillar for her community but actually she was a pillar for us all. Most obituaries talk about the things people enjoy the most in life but Kelly wanted you to know about the things she hated. Anything educational except the library, anything sports related that didnt involve her boys, making her bed without hospital corners, the TV on when her great room was filled with the faces she loved, fake people…if you could be yourself with anyone it was Kelly, dishonesty she hated liars even though she was a damn good one, the quiet…she loved her home filled with noise and laughter, being late…especially when people set their clocks ahead purposely, things on her dining room table, improperly folded towels, people scaring her, walking in nature …except the beach, any form of exercise…except swimming, procrastination, putting gas in her car or air in her tires and lastly politics…she proudly sported an I Didnt Vote button. Kelly is survived by the love of her life Kenny and her beautiful children, K.C., Koby and Kansas. She will also be missed her dog, the Mayor of the Block, Kirby, her siblings Brandee (Alberto) Zavala, Tayler Denniston (Tom Williams) and Trevor Denniston (Stacie Kosterman) and all the other souls that she touched with her magical soul. A Celebration of Kellys life will be held on Saturday April 29, 2017 from 10 am until 1 pm with a Eulogy service at 1 pm. Some of Kellys ashes will be interred with her mom at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids. In lieu of flowers, a fund will be established to benefit Kellys childrens education. Kelly would want you to know Its okay not to be okay. If you are struggling please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline 1-800-273-8255. Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel 8910 W.
