After a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Keith Frank Zurfluh passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2021, at the age of 86. Keith was born on March 10, 1935, in Nekoosa, WI to John and Vera (Piper) Zurfluh. He grew up in a large, loving family with 7 brothers and 5 sisters. He attended Nekoosa High School and later enlisted in the US Army. He was a Paratrooper with the Airborne Division who proudly served his country until his honorable discharge. Keith worked at the Crane Manufacturing for 31 years, he was a skilled welder with a great work ethic. He was driven by the phrase that hard work pays off. Keith took joy in his time being a family man, deer hunter, and fisherman. When diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, Keith remained dedicated to his family and optimistic that he would beat this cancer. Throughout his final weeks, Keith remained brave, thoughtful and most importantly he never lost faith in God not even in his darkest hours. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, children Robert (Yolanda) Zurfluh, Rhonda (Mark) Bilot and Keith Zurfluh, sisters Rhonda Chojnacki and Marcella Erickson, grandchildren, Anthony, Marissa, Brandon, Ellisandra, Robert Jr, Alexis, Cruz, Esperanza, Giovanni, Mercedes, Brian Jr., Heather, Keith Jr., Rhonda and Katie, 26 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, children Patricia, Ronald and Brian, siblings Rowland, Dwayne, Lyle, Lowren, Gayle, Frank, Joe, Janet, Elaine, and Yvonne and daughter-in-law Sherry. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2022, at the Max A. Sass & Sons GREENRIDGE CHAPEL 4747 s 60th St., Greenfield. Friends and family may gather from 10:30 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
