Kathleen May Riegg passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2022, after one more New Year's Eve surrounded by her children and holding her Schnooky’s hand to the very end. Kathleen was the epitome of positivity who cast a happy glow to everyone she met. She lived for family gatherings, loved her Milwaukee Brewers, and stayed connected on Facebook. Survived by her loving husband Alan Riegg of more than 62 years and three adoring children Susan Riegg Gergen (William Gergen), Steven Riegg (Trace Matabele Riegg), and Christopher Riegg (Kimberly Riegg). Further survived by 8 loving grandchildren Leila, Sean (Isabelle), Nicole (Daniel), Catherine, Margaret, Brick, Laura, and Charlie, two great-grandchildren Ingrid and Torbjorn and bonus grandchild Gabriella and bonus great-grandchild Kinsley. Kathy was the second of four children including Dale (deceased), further survived by her sister Karen Rothe Osband and her little brother Glen Rothe (Donna). She was further blessed with nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Besides a large and loving family, Kathy had numerous friends that were all loved and treated as family. Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL (4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield) on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 4:30 until the hour of service at 7:00 PM. Livestream of the 7:00PM service will be available at maxsass.com through Kathleen’s obituary page. Private interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
