Kathy was a graduate of St. Rita’s Catholic School, Mercy High School, and attended Alverno College. She married Ed on June 3, 1961. While supporting Ed through his medical training and practice, she brought 8 children into the world and dedicated her life to raising them with loving hands.
Always a doting grandmother, she strove to give every new baby a bath, dress them for baptism, and attend every graduation. She was the ever-present cheering section at her grandchildren’s numerous school, sports, and performing arts events. Kathy gracefully hosted friends and family for birthday, anniversary, graduation and wedding celebrations.
An excellent cook, Kathy knew how to feed a crowd, and had an extensive library of “I think I’ll try this” recipes clipped from the newspaper. Her fandom was unrivaled - Brewers, Bucks, Packers, Badgers, Marquette basketball, PGA, and Tennis. If it was on, she was watching. She was a true lady, her look never complete without a dash of lipstick before running out the door.
She greatly valued her friends, and loved gathering for lunches and bridge club.
Living a life of service to others in keeping with her devout Catholic faith, Kathy was actively involved with the church for decades. She tirelessly cared for her husband, parents and in-laws in their later years. Her kind, gentle, patient, and generous spirit has no equal.
Visitation at ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH (6060 W. Loomis Rd. Greendale, WI) Friday March 24, 2023 from 9-10:45 AM with the Funeral Mass to begin at 11 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. "In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Alphonsus Parish, Greendale, WI" would be appreciated.
Truly, to know Kathy was to love her. She will be dearly missed.
