Judith Kay Schweitzer

Judith K. Schweitzer, 81, Franklin, died on Monday, December 27, 2021. She was born on June 8, 1940, to the late Frederick and Villa (Peterson) Grothem. Beloved wife of 55 years to Charles Schweitzer. Loving mother of Mark Schweitzer, Maria (Tony) Russo, Matthew (Maggie) Schweitzer and Michelle (Tom) Kuna. Grandmother to Tyler, Conner, Jesse, Brandon, Sophia, Forest, Elizabeth, Teddy and Abby, 4 great-grandchildren and a brother Paul Grothem. She was preceded in death by her siblings Fred Grothem and Julie (Dick) Nedry. Judith was devoted to her family, always had a warm smile and a pleasant demeanor to share. She was a homemaker while her children were young, later working as a Histology Technician at St. Joseph Hospital. Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at St. Martin of Tours (7963 S 116th St., Franklin) from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in the St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Franklin.
