Joyce Ann Schilz

Joyce Ann Schilz (nee. Roffers) entered into eternal life July 5, 2020 at 84 years old. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years William, and children Cathleen Schilz, Joanne Schilz, Lois Lukas (Scott), and Carl Schilz (Julie). Grandmother of Benjamin, Ryan (fiancé Morgan Moczynski), and William (Nieva). Sister of Duane (Dianne) Roffers. Further survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews. Joyce enjoyed being with family, caring for her flowers, and shopping for clothes. A yearly trip to see the roses at Boerner was never missed. Bill and Joyce are founding members of St. Sylvester’s Parish, now Divine Mercy of South Milwaukee. She was a member of their prayer circle when she could no longer attend. Until her untimely passing at age 55, Joyce was very close to her sister Donna with whom she shared the joys and struggles of raising a family. Joyce battled multiple sclerosis for 50 years and pancreatic cancer for one year. Joyce was also a breast cancer survivor. The family is grateful for the five years of care she received at Ramsey Woods in Cudahy. There she excelled at winning bingo prizes and entertaining staff and residents with her clear, beautiful voice. Especially remembered from Ramsey are adopted daughters Candalera and Tracy. Tina with Legacy Hospice led her end of life care. July 17, 2020 Visitation and service at Max Sass South Milwaukee.
