Brill, Joyce A. (Nee Whalen) Of Pewaukee. Found peace in the Lord on August 4, 2011 at age 64 while vacationing in South Carolina, surrounded by those she loved. Survived by her devoted husband Harry Brill, daughter of Elma (Nee Yanigan) and the late James Whalen, mom of Beth (Christopher) Johnson, grandma of Camden and Adelynn, aunt to Christopher and Meghan Hilker, Christopher McCarthy, Stephen and Michael Sikora, sister to Maureen (Brian) Hilker, Yvonne (Tom Rosencrants) Walden, the late Joan Sikora, other family and friends. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Joyce graduated from Gateway Senior HS in 1965 and received an Associate Degree from Robert Morris College in 1967. Joyce was considered a consummate professional. She began her career in a Pittsburgh law firm, later joined the Westinghouse Corp. and then WTAE-TV serving in Executive Assistance roles. Following moves to Dallas and Ashville NC in the 1980's, she settled in Brookfield, WI where she continued her career as Executive Administrator to the President of Sax Arts & Crafts and subsequently in the same capacity at Unit Drop Forge. Joyce was detail oriented and cared deeply about doing a good job. She arranged world-wide travel for othersas long as she did not have to fly herself. Wisconsin became her adopted home, leading to her marriage to Harry Brill and a new life. During her lifetime, Joyce enjoyed a good laugh and had many interests. You could find her planning a new adventure with a friend, reading, bowling or playing golf. She cheered on NASCAR, the Milwaukee Brewers and her favorite, Pittsburgh Steelers. But most of all, she loved to cook and shop. Her meals were outstanding and she loved to swap recipes. "Looking good" in the perfect ensemble made her a QVC devotee. Her pride and joy was her collection of teddy bears. Joyce loved to celebrate the spring equinox, even in the middle of a March snowfall, as she lived for the longer days of summer. Family was of the utmost importance to Joyce and she wished she could have spent more time with them. Joyce was a unique individual and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
