Joslyn Beth Sladky of Franklin, WI took her last breaths on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the young age of 20. She was born in Racine, WI on June 9, 2003 to Robert J (deceased) and Amy M Sladky (Richey) and graduated from Oak Creek High school in 2021. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her early departure from their lives.
Joslyn is the best friend and beloved sister of Carolyn M and John F Sladky, by whom she will forever be remembered. She adored her dog Jackie and two cats, Charlie and Lippy. She is also survived by her grandparents Joseph A and Annette M Richey (Brever), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Joslyn was a very gifted young lady intellectually, artistically and musically with many interests. She delighted in cooking for those around her as well as creating delicious vegan dishes for herself. Music, however, was her soul food; there was always music wherever she was (and usually singing too). Her artistic talents were also on display regularly in her creative and varied fashion ensembles. Though her life was short, she lived big, and loved to see new places having traveled throughout the US from California to NY to TX, places in between, and even Japan. Her zest for life and adventurous spirit were contagious.
Joslyn was a beautiful person inside and out with a unique and unforgettable personality. Her silly and spunky sense of humor (that she was not shy to share) brought joy to those around her and livened any setting. She also had a softer side with a very tender heart, loved her people deeply as well as all living things, soft and furry or creepy and crawly. Her absence will be felt by many. Until we meet again.
In honor of Joslyn's style and flair, all are encouraged to attend her Celebration of Life dressed in a well-curated outfit or simply something they feel their best in; preferably color rather than black. The celebration, with reception, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM at the Max A. Sass & Sons South Shore Chapel (1314 Manitoba Ave, South Milwaukee).
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated and the family will make a donation to a charity in Joslyn's honor.
