Purpora, Josephine (Corrao) "Josie" was born to Eternal life on June 14, 2019, reuniting with her beloved husband Francesco (Frank) at the age of 89 years. Loving Mother of Angelina (Angelo) Morgano, Salvatore (Maria) Purpora, and Josephine (Peter) Kafura. Cherished Nonna of Calogero (Kelly), Francesco (Meredith), Joseph (Megan) Morgano, Domenica (Morgano) Hughes, Francesco, Salvatore, Josephine Purpora, John and Frank Kafura. Dear Great-Nonna to Angelo, Patrick, Christopher, Landin, Dominic and Garrett Morgano, and Noah and Angelina Hughes. Josie was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore (Josephine) Corrao, in-laws Salvatore (Angelina) Purpora. Siblings Salvatore (Sarina) Corrao, Joseph (Theresa) Corrao, Jack (Rosina) Corrao, Andrew (Maria) Corrao, the late Theresa Corrao. Sister-in-laws Yolanda Corrao, Domenica Amata (Ohio), Serafina (Gaglione) Purpora (Sicily), Lina (Silla) Purpora. Brother -in-laws Antonino Purpora, Gaetano Silla (Sicily) Loving Sister to Antonino and Vince (Nina) Corrao, Theresa (Salvatore) Mazza. Sister-in-Laws Vincenza Purpora, Maria (Franco) Purpora (Sicily). Also loved by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Josie was born in Sant'Agata di Militello on October 10, 1929. She immigrated to the United States from Sicily with her family. Josie married the love of her life, Frank on July 4, 1953 in Sicily and returned to the United States. Together they had 3 children, Angelina, Salvatore, and Josie. The Family extends a special thank you to everyone who kept Josie in their daily thoughts and prayers especially her dear friend Shirley Harzke as well as her caring Nurse and Friend Dee Salsberry and Hometown Hospice team led by Nurse Ed Freuden for their excellent care and loving support. Josie died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL, 8910 W. Drexel Ave. Franklin, WI on Sunday June 23, 2019 from 4PM until the time of Vigil Service at 7PM. A further visitation will be held at ST. ROMAN PARISH (1710 W. Bolivar Avenue Milwaukee. WI.) on Monday June 24th from 10 - 10:45 AM with the funeral mass to begin at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Josie will always be loved, remembered and missed. We love you Mom and you will be in our hearts and minds forever
