Joseph S. Papia Passed unexpectedly on Friday August 12, 2022 at the age of 71. He was born on July 22,1951 to the late Salvatore C. and Vivian Papia. Loving father of Angelique and Andrea. Proud grandpa of Hayden and Lillyana. Dear brother of late Salvatore John and Stephanie Dysland. Survived by siblings, Caroline Tice (Patrick), Peter Papia, Cheryl McDonell (Timothy), John Papia, Anthony Papia, and mother of his children Lorraine Papia- Woida. Beloved uncle to Lisa Hammer, Terri Battjes, Jeffrey Tice, Julie Justiniano, Joshua Papia, Jacob Papia, Peter Papia, Tanya Melsheimer, Eric Melsheimer, Marissa McDonell and Adam Barboff. Loving nephew of Seraphina Peterson. Special cousin to Joseph Fote. Further survived by great nieces and nephews, other beloved relatives and friends. Joseph attended Our Lady Queen of Peace and graduated from Boys Tech High School in 1969. He served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. He worked for the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Railroad and Breadsmith. His true passion was being an Insurance Salesman for 40 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. Joseph was very physically active and enjoyed racquetball, golfing, shooting pool and dancing. Joseph loved life and his family and always remained a kid at heart. Visitation for friends and family will be held at Max A Sass & Sons-Oklahoma Chapel (1515 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milwaukee) on Tuesday, August 30th from 4-7pm. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Joseph's family.
