Maciejewski, Joseph D. "Jonsey" Passed away peacefully on November 24, 2016 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Dolores (Nee Wnuk). Dear father of David and Gayle (Matthew) Lemens. Beloved grandpa of Maria Cecelia Lemens. Dear brother of the late Robert (the late Sylvia) Maciejewski, the late Patsy (Ted) Finnie, and dear brother-in-law of the late Norb (the late Joan) Wnuk. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Joseph was born January 25, 1932 in South Milwaukee to Joe and Cecelia (nee Ludwiczak) Maciejewski. He worked at Cooper Power Systems (Kyle Switchgear) for 41 years. Joe was a devout member of St. Mary's (Divine Mercy) Parish. He sang in the choir for 57 years, was the treasurer of the Holy Name Society for 23 years, a member of the Parish Council, and a Sacristan. Joe served faithfully at Ramsey Woods to say the rosary and distribute Communion with his wife Dolores every Tuesday for 12 years. Joe was an active member of the South Milwaukee Knights of Columbus Council 1709 since 1950 and held multiple officer positions including coordinating the annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Joe was an avid Packers, Braves, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, Marquette and UWM Panthers fan. He loved attending games with his family and friends and attended the 1957 & 1958 World Series as well as Superbowl XXXII. He was an avid bowler and golfer and coached little-league and basketball. Visitation will be held at DIVINE MERCY PARISH (800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee, WI) on Thursday, December 1 from 9-10:45AM. Funeral Mass at 11AM. Burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive, Xaverian Missions, or masses to be said at Divine Mercy Parish. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors of the 4th floor and ICU at Wheaton-Franklin Hospital for their compassionate care. Family and friends will remember Joe for his smile and his willingness to help in any situation.
