Mauer, John P. Passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2008 at the age of 60 years. Cherished father of Banae (Terrence) Perfect and the late John A. Mauer. Proud grandpa of Jessie Jimenez, T.J., Ellie and Brooklyn Perfect. Dear brother and best friend of Michael (Sue) Mauer. Devoted uncle of Michael (the late Jessica) and Samantha Mauer. Great uncle of Aaron, Miles, Kayla and Haley. Stepson of Jeannie Mauer. Devoted companion of Bear. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. Funeral service Saturday 1 PM at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel. Visitation Saturday 10 AM 1 PM. Private interment. John was a devoted, lifelong employee of the Smurfit-Stone Company. Dad, you are my best friend and my guiding light.
