John C. Klein, a beacon of joy and music, danced his way into the hearts of many before gracefully taking his final bow on January 7, 2025. Born on February 12, 1938, John's life was a symphony of love, laughter, and tireless dedication, a melody that will linger long after his departure.

John's journey through life was a testament to the power of love, as he shared 65 harmonious years with his beloved wife, Teresa. Together, they created a family that resonated with warmth and unity, including their children Br. Tom, Lisa (Peter) Kaminski, and Julie (the late Michael) Ferch. The joyous echoes of his legacy continued through his grandchildren Alec, Emily, and Samantha, and reached a crescendo with his great-granddaughter, Mabel. John’s family was the chorus of his life’s song, and he cherished every moment with them, including the canine companionship of the family dogs, Remy and Milo.

Before his peaceful departure, John was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Della (Feltz) Klein, his son-in-law Mike, and his siblings, who set the stage for his grand entrance into the world and undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

John's professional life was marked by over 30 years of steadfast service as a forklift operator at General Motors, where he not only honed his skills but also forged lifelong friendships. His work ethic was unparalleled, yet it was his side gig as a music promoter, selling CDs, where his soul truly found its rhythm. Polka music was John's happy place, earning him the affectionate title of the "Polka King." His passion for the genre was infectious, and he generously shared his love for music with all who had the pleasure of being in his presence.

John's voice was a familiar and cherished instrument in the choir at Our Lady Queen of Peace, where he sang with faith and fervor. He was a man who knew the value of listening, offering his ear and heart to anyone in need. His humility was as profound as his generosity, and he was always ready to lend his time and talents to those around him.

The simple joys in life were John's forte. He reveled in the camaraderie of playing cards with his daughter Lisa, as well as sharing his love of music with his son Tom and dancing with his daughter Julie. John's green thumb brought beauty and life to his garden, a sanctuary of growth and renewal that mirrored his own life.

Dancing was more than a hobby for John; it was a celebration of life. He and Teresa were a sight to behold on the dance floor, whether they were gliding through a polka or mastering the steps of a square dance. Their movements were a physical manifestation of their joy and their enduring love for one another.

John's life was a masterclass in positivity. He navigated life's twists and turns with a smile, embodying the qualities of kindness, love, and faith. His spirit was a light that shone brightly, illuminating the path for others to follow. John C. Klein lived as he danced—with grace, enthusiasm, and an unwavering belief in the goodness of life. His melody may have ended, but his song will continue to inspire and uplift, playing on in the hearts of those who loved him. Let us carry the tune forward, embracing each day with the same zest and optimism that John embodied. His life was a dance, and we are all the richer for having been his partners, if only for a while. As we bid farewell, a visitation for John will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 7219 S. 27th St., Franklin, WI 53132, on Saturday, February 1 from 10-11 AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow.
