Further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Jack was the president of American Building Restoration, which he founded in 1970. A pioneer in historic preservation, he won the Mayor’s Downtown Milwaukee Beautification award for restoring historic landmarks and earned several patents for his innovations. Sincere thanks are given to the dedicated employees of ABR who believed in and supported Jack’s vision. Jack loved music throughout his whole life. In 1964 he and longtime musician friend John Conrath created the band Jack & the Beanstalks. The band played to large crowds in the clubs and recorded original music. Later he influenced his sons Mark and Kevin to form the Acre Brothers Band with their neighborhood friends Dan Fleischman and Dan McGarry. His passion for recording music continued with friend Dave Myler, who collaborated on over 100 recordings. This led to Jack’s final recordings of favorite country tunes with granddaughter Jarin. A special thanks to all the doctors and nurses who cared for him in his final days at St. Luke’s Hospital. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel on Saturday, March 23 from 9-11AM. Service to follow at 11AM. Private family interment on Monday at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
