John “Jack” Michael Kucera
“There is a healing that must be done for our Veterans who gave then and continue to give…long after the War ended.”

Jack was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin to John and Josephine (Lukas) Kucera. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Susan.
Loving husband of 43 years to Sandra Fucile Kucera. Beloved father to Amy (Steve) James, special grandpa to Aiden and Rylan James, stepdad to Michael (Ericka) Slivinski and grandpa to Jessica, Ashley and Vincent Slivinski. Jack is survived by his sisters, Mary Jo (Don) Check and Jane (Steve) Schulz.
His beloved dogs Buffett and Carmela were patiently waiting for him as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. (What joyful barking was going on!)
Jack’s favorite vacation destination each year was his time spent on Sanibel Island, Florida, where he absolutely loved golfing and walking on the beach.
If Jack was still here with us he would say, “May there always be shells in your pocket and sand in your shoes.”
He was proud to have served his country with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.
He will be missed by so many - his family, his friends and his military brothers.
There will be a private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, Wisconsin.
The Wounded Warrior Project was very close to Jack’s heart. Donations in his honor are appreciated. https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.aspx?tsid=10043&ovr_acv_id=5246
