John Thomas Gladden, Jr.

John Gladden, Jr., age 72, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2025. Born in Cleveland, OH, John was the son of Gloria Ramirez (May) and John Gladden, Sr., and the twin brother of Jack Gladden.

In his younger years, John was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, finding joy in working on and riding his bikes. A proud Marine Corps veteran, John served in the early 1970s as a proof tech and mortar man, earning a National Defense Service Medal for his dedicated service.

John lived his life by his own rules, embracing a unique lifestyle that was both simple and complex. He was a man of few, but deep relationships, loved by some and liked by many. His distinctive sense of humor and hearty laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother. He is survived by his son Christopher (Topher) Gladden, daughter-in-law Paula Gladden, and granddaughter Alexandra Gladden.

John's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember him for his individuality, his humor, and the impact he had on their lives.

Burial and Military Honors for John will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI on Wednesday, March 5th at 1PM. Please meet at the cemetery.
