Joan Korsmeyer

Korsmeyer, Joan Born April 18, 1937 in rural Beardstown, Illinois and died February 10, 2016 at Virginia Highlands Health Care in Germantown, Wisconsin. She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Lamb and Irene Lamkin, two sisters-in-law, Betty Lamb Korsmeyer and Carnell Jolly Korsmeyer, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis H. Korsmeyer and Amelia Fricke Korsmeyer, 3 brothers; Melbourne, Norman and Willard. Joan graduated from Beardstown High School in 1955. She attended Cottey College, Nevada, Missouri and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She received a Masters degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois. She was a librarian at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and was head librarian at Mount Mary College (now University) from the late 80s to the mid 90s. Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 5 to 7pm at the MAX A SASS & SONS FUNERAL HOME. Memorial Service on Thursday, February 25, 2015 at 2pm at ST. PAULS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 914 E. Knapp Street, Milwaukee.
