Joan Elizabeth Jardin

Joan Elizabeth Jardin, 88, passed away March 29, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Born in 1936 in Eau Claire, WI where she lived with her family and attended St. Patrick’s school through her first year of high school later moving to Milwaukee where she graduated from South Division. She furthered her education to become an LPN at St. Anthony’s Hospital and later transitioned to work at Milwaukee Insurance. After meeting her husband, she moved to Big Bend, WI where she became a full time at home mom to two daughters. She later returned to the workforce as a school bus driver for the Mukwonago School District from which she retired.

She was passionate about health and fitness, enjoyed being in nature, feeding/watching birds, and spending time with her three grandchildren. She also enjoyed being an active member of St. Joseph Parish.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Lawrence Jardin, their daughters Kris (Mike) Stoneking and Jackie (John) Williams, three grandchildren, sister Joyce DuCette and aunt to Doreen (Greg) Budish, Gary (Caroline) Wojnowski, and Diane Czaplewski. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Ruth as well as her half-brothers Richard and James Gregoire.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, WI) on Thursday, April 10th. The visitation will be from 9:30-10:45AM with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment will be at 2:30PM at St. Adalbert Cemetery, please meet at the main office.
