Joan E. Schwonke (nee Livingston) Of Milwaukee. Born to eternal life on January 27, 2022 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Darrell “Skip” for 63 years. Loving mom of Mark (Karie), Dorene Drumel (Robert Algrin), Tim (Carrie) and the late Wayne. Proud grandma of Dana (Josh) Freitag, Nicholas Schwonke, Jordan (Ashlee), Jake and Luke Drumel, Brittany and Mitchell (Amie) Schwonke. Great grandma of Blake. Loving daughter of the late Norbert and the late Sophia “Betty” Livingston. Dear niece of the late Eleanor and the late Dale Schultz. Dear sister of the late Marlin (the late Sue) Livingston and the late Sharon Livingston. Sister-in-law of the late Glen Schwonke, Gary Zepnick and Bruce (Sharon) Zepnick. Joan will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Saturday May 21, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am with a service at 10:30 am. Private interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Joan was an avid sports fan and loved all Wisconsin sports teams, especially her Brett Favre. She enjoyed the simple things in life, decorating for every holiday no matter how big or small. Their beautifully manicured yard, all the nature that surrounded it and a sunny day. Forever fan of Johnny Mathis who she called “My Johnny”. Joan was a very strong, loving and selfless, wife, mom and grandma who cherished her family above all. Her caring nature and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
