Jill Terese Otto

Jill Terese Otto (nee Cardenas) passed away on October 22, 2018 in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was born in Brookfield on May 21, 1981, the daughter of Robert and Teresa Cardenas, and grew up in Pewaukee. Jill graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha and the University of Notre Dame. After graduating with a degree in Economics and Spanish from Notre Dame, she lived in San Diego for several years where she completed her Masters Degree in Leadership at the University of San Diego. During that time, she touched many young lives while serving as the Mentoring Program Director for Nativity Prep Academy of San Diego. Her husband’s job eventually took them to Tennessee, where Jill enjoyed exploring new places. Jill’s constant companion was her dog Guapo, who happily traveled with Jill. Jill will be sadly missed by her husband, Reid Otto of Cookeville, Tennessee, her mother, Terri Cardenas of Pewaukee, her brother Jeff (Christa) of Pewaukee, her four nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Robert “Bob” Cardenas. Visitation Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 9 am until 10:45 am with a service at 11 am at Elmbrook Church (777 S. Barker Rd., Brookfield). Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to benefit Heavenly Host Lutheran School in Cookeville, TN or Nativity Prep Academy in San Diego, CA.
