Jill A Smith

Jill A. Smith (Kazmierski), 55, South Milwaukee, died on Monday, May 23, 2022. She was born on August 17, 1967, to Daniel and Lynn (Prodzinski) Kazmierski in Cudahy. Jill met her high school sweetheart in English class while attending South Milwaukee. She graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1985 and was united in marriage to Kent Smith on May 7, 1988. Jill enjoyed gardening and buying plants that Kent would take care of. She took joy in cooking and baking; Jill could make something out of nothing. She was devoted to her work as Peer Support at Meta House in Riverwest. In her earlier years she was a cook for the South Milwaukee School District. Jill was fond of camping with her friends and family creating memories and stories to tell. She was known as the “fun cop” who spoke her mind. Jill was thrilled to be a part of the Exclusive Supper Club-Club, taking road trips around the state to visit supper clubs and enjoy the food experience. Jill is survived by her loving husband Kent, children Jessica (Cisco Mateo) Smith, Danny (Kate) Smith, grandchildren Addison, Everly and Nora, parents Dan and Lynn, sister Jodi (Lee) Strasser, father-in-law Ronald Smith, brother-in-law Kyle Smith, as well as other relatives and many-many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Shirly Smith and brother-in-law Kevin Smith. Visitation will be held at 4:00PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at MAX A SASS & SONS SOUTH SHORE CHAPEL (1314 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee) until the celebration of life at 7:00 PM. Jill enjoyed bright vibrant colors, come as you are or wear a shade to light up the room.
