Jerry P. Bindrich of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, lost his battle with COVID-19 on August 20, 2020 with his wife, Christal (nee Klassy), by his side. Jerry was born to James Bindrich and Laverne Bindrich of Kewaskum, Wisconsin on September 22, 1948. He is survived by his daughters: Debbie Gracz and her husband Mike of Clayton, North Carolina; Beth French and her husband Douglas Butler of Portland, Oregon and Theresa Cummings and her husband Brian of Cudahy, Wisconsin. He is survived by his only son, Steve Bindrich of Oak Creek. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren: Danny Gracz of Waukesha, Jake Bindrich of Waukesha, Elliot Donarski and Rowan Donarski of Cudahy; and great grandchildren, Adelynn and Oliva Graca; close childhood friends Elliot and Darlene DeRocher of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and special friend Bill French. Jerry graduated from Marquette High School in 1966. He competed his bachelor’s degree in Business from Cardinal Stritch University. He worked for WE Energies for 27 years. He taught himself the craft of computer programming and worked for several years at Compuware. He finished his working career at US Bank as a Credit Risk IT Manager where he retired in 2013. Jerry married Christal on August 18, 1984. They formed a blended family of Debbie, Steve, Beth, and Theresa. He was a loving, committed, cheerleader, proud father to his children. He supported them in all their activities. His loving wife talked him into performing with the Oconomowoc Players in “Camelot”. He looked very handsome in his historical costume. He was also a cast member in the drama, “The Dining Room” with the UW-Waukesha Drama Department. Jerry and Christal loved to travel. They would go whenever and wherever the opportunity arose. They also cherished their quiet retreats together. Jerry sang in the choirs at the many United Methodist Churches where he was a member. He was a member of the Disciple Drama team. He served on various committees, task forces and as a devoted Pastor’s spouse in ministry. He went on many family, youth, and adult short-term work missions. He was an avid Gamer and never missed completing the daily challenges. He particularly liked playing Ms. Packman on his personal arcade machine. He loved to play Rummicube and Farkle and was an avid jigsaw puzzler. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, and servant of Jesus Christ. His Christian faith formed his gentle, kind, loving spirit. He touched the lives of many people, more than he knew. He was humble, content to be behind the scenes except for his short theatrical career. He is further survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and many friends. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Laverne Bindrich, father-in-law Gerold Klassy, his sister JoEllen Bergeron and her husband Rick, brothers-in-law Jerry Klassy and Randy Klassy. He was predeceased by his nephews Wayne Troller and Wade Bergeron. He will be greatly missed by his church family and his Jobie Family. His celebration of life will be on September 12, 2020 at the Max Sass & Son Mission Hills Chapel, at 8910 W. Drexel Avenue, Franklin, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Rev. Wendee Nitz will be officiating at the 11:00 am service. Private burial of his cremains will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greenfield.. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church-Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church or Job's Daughters. The service will be live streamed. To watch please visit the Max A.
