As a dedicated teacher at Muskego High School, he was devoted to educate, inspire and motivate students for 33 years. Jerry pushed for the Observatory at MHS and through that developed an astronomy club. He could often be seen filming the football and basketball games. His love of photography helped put together the photo staff that was responsible to provide pictures for the year book and newsletter among other things. In 1978 he was awarded the top honor of Wisconsin State Teacher of the Year. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Muskego Photography Club and was instrumental in promoting proper lighting in Muskego to protect our night skies. Jerry will be sorely missed.
