Jeffrey Scott Renock, fondly known as Jeff, passed away on October 12, 2023, in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI. Born on April 26, 1974, to parents Christine (nee Jackowski) and David Renock, Jeff was a beacon of laughter, friendship, and love to all who knew him.
Jeff was a proud 1992 graduate of Thomas More High School. He furthered his education at Carthage College, graduating in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science. His passion for health and fitness led him to work at Bally's Fitness Center early in his career and he also trained in Muay Thai. Jeff then served as a MSDF Corrections Officer for the state of Wisconsin for 13 years, a role he performed with dedication and integrity.
An individual of diverse interests, Jeff had a love for basketball. He enjoyed working out, fishing, biking, and camping. His fascination with Koi fish led him to construct a beautiful Koi pond in his backyard, a testament to his patience and craftsmanship. He had an encyclopedia knowledge of military and music history. Jeff also had an undeniable flair for restoring Chevy classic cars, a hobby that showcased his meticulous attention to detail.
Jeff's humor, friendliness, and loving nature are the qualities that set him apart. He had the ability to light up any room with his infectious laughter and could make friends in any setting. His warmth and love for life touched the hearts of everyone he met.
Jeff is survived by his beloved daughter, Emma Renock, who was the apple of his eye. His parents, Christine and David Renock, his sister, Jennifer Hurst, and his nephews, Jake and Luke Hurst, will miss his jovial spirit. His grandmother, Bernadine Jackowski, and his aunts and uncles, Doug (Cheryl) Renock, Greg (Rita) Jackowski, and Gary (Karen) Jackowski, remember him fondly. Jeff was the best and loyal friend of John Lanctot and a special friend of Dave Nastal, and Emma’s mother Jessica Wierzba. His many loved cousins will miss his presence in their lives. Preceded in death by grandparents James and Dorothy Renock and Myron Jackowski, his aunt Kathleen Komas, his uncle Jerry Jackowski, and his cousin Richard Gerbitz.
Jeff’s life was a testament to his resilience, his love for his family, and his passion for the things that brought him joy. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, great abs, and a life well-lived. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons - Greenridge Chapel (4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield) on Friday October 27 starting at 4PM until time of service at 7PM.
