Jeannette Bar

January 3, 1917 — October 21, 2017

On October 21st, 2017 at 1:00pm, Jeannette Bar was reunited with her husband and sweetheart, Barney Bar. Were sure theyre walking the botanical gardens of heaven. Jeannette will be joining in heaven with her husband, Barney, her Mom & Dad, all her sisters and brothers, her great-grand children, Aurora & Elijah, and the rest of the generations of her family. Additionally, most of her friends, co-workers and school chums have preceded her to their final rest for Jeannette was the last one of that generation. Here on earth, she is survived by her son, Charles Bar & his wife, Lynda; her daughter Jerilyn Bar & her husband, Robert Colla; grand-daughters: Emily McMeeken & husband Chris, their children Collin Kelly Nickerson & husband Seth, their children Isaiah a plethora of nieces and nephews & their children and current friends. Jeannette resided in the Milwaukee area for 90 years. She graduated from Messmer High School and Mount Mary College where she excelled in science and Latin (yes Latin). She had a career at General X-ray, Globe Union, and Allen-Bradley. She loved walking the Boerner Botanical Garden with Barney multiple times every week. She loved to share in the good and blessed life God gave her. For the final ten years, Jeannette live in Grand Rapids Michigan with her son Charles, his wife Lynda and Lyndas mom, Esther Werba. Her grand-daughters & their families lived in nearby suburbs. Life was good. A life-long Polish Catholic, she attended Worship Services at St. Judes, Congregation Ahavas Israel & Frontline Community Church. Daily she would participate in Mass through EWTN-TV and Mother Angelica. GG (great-grandma) was a true prayer warrior, praying for family, friends, crisis, the world and her country. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Wisconsin Memorial Park (132nd and W. Capitol Dr) in the Chapel of the Flowers. Viewing is at 10am and service of Vigil of the Resurrection is at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please, donate to the Food Kitchen of St. Benedicts in downtown Milwaukee. This will continue her lifelong love of feeding people. Rejoice Jeannette is now bound up in heaven in the presence of God and her Savior, Jesus Christ.
