Jeanne L. Morency

Morency, Jeanne L. Passed away peacefully on April 23, 2010 at the age of 86. Dearest mother of Sharon A. Morency. Dear sister of June (the late Eugene) Kopping, Carol (George) Witczak and Alice (the late Jack) Willison. Jeanne was a longtime friend of the late Irene Mayeshiba, survived by her husband Andy and family. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 11 am at St. Joseph Church (S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend). Visitation Wednesday 4-7 pm and Thursday 10:30-11 am at the church. Private interment. Jeanne graduated from Mercy High School and UW-Milwaukee (formerly Teachers College) where she was a sorority sister. Jeanne, whose passion was to teach, taught for over 40 years. She taught in Maui and Oahu from 1945 to 1954, then in Milwaukee Public School, at Riley School and Bell Middle School. Jeanne loved to travel, do crosswords, puzzles, read murder mysteries, do needlework and play with her beloved pets. She was active for the Human Concern Committee at St. Joseph Church in Big Bend. In honor of her love of pets, memorial contributions may be made to the Waukesha County Humane Society.
