Janice T. Bohacek (nee Koltek), a beacon of love, generosity, and creativity, passed away on May 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and inspiration. Born on June 22, 1953, in Milwaukee, WI, she was a shining example of how to live life to the fullest and make a lasting impact on those around her.
Janice's love story with her husband, Frank, spanned over 26 beautiful years, filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. As a loving mother to Greg (Colleen) Koltek and a dear stepmother to Jeff (Dajen) Bohacek and Andrew (Kaitlin) Bohacek, she infused her family life with her boundless love and care. Her role as a cherished grandma to Niko, Mia, Harper, Lucia, and Brooks further highlighted her nurturing spirit and the joy she took in watching her family grow. Janice's bond with her sisters, Mira (the late Rich) Panella, Mary (George) Falk, and Helen Stievo (Greg Wojdacz), was one of strength, loyalty, and lifelong friendship. Her love extended to her nieces and nephews, other loved relatives, and countless friends who were fortunate to experience her kindness and generosity.
A proud graduate of Messmer High School in 1971, Janice's friendships with her former classmates stood the test of time, a testament to her ability to make deep and lasting connections. As a long-time employee of Fiduciary Management Incorporated, she brought her creativity and dedication to her work, making a difference in the lives of her colleagues and clients alike.
Janice's passions and involvement in her community were vast and far-reaching. An avid line dancer, she found joy in movement and the camaraderie of her fellow dancers. Her love of reading and commitment to education led her to become a Greendale Reading Buddy volunteer, helping to instill a love of learning in future generations. As an active member of the Greendale Historical Society, Janice played an important role in preserving the stories and history of her beloved hometown.
In every aspect of her life, Janice's loving, generous, and creative spirit shone through. She was a motivational force, inspiring those around her to embrace life with open arms and an open heart. Her ability to uplift and encourage others was a gift that will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale) on Thursday June 8 from 9:30-10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM.
