Janice L. Strand

July 4, 1952 — July 29, 2023

Janice L. Strand, age 71, of Wind Lake, WI peacefully passed away at home on July 29 th , 2023. Visitation and funeral will be held at St. Lenoard’s Parish on Friday, August 11 th, W173S7743 Westwood Dr., Muskego, WI. 53150. Visitation will commence at 9am and will be followed by the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am.

Funeral services will be conducted by Father Dan of St. Leonard’s and Deacon Greg.

Janice was born in Milwaukee, WI to Edwin Zoltak and Jessie Zoltak on July 4 th , 1952. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, graduated in nursing from MATC and attended Whitewater and Carroll College. She worked at various geriatric, mental health, brain injury and rehabilitation facilities throughout her career. Janice enjoyed music, dancing, movies, plants, flowers, boating and going to the casino. One of her happiest places was with family and her beloved chihuahua Cici on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman!

She married Jay D. Strand on September 1 st , 1973 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI.

Preceded in death by her parents Edwin/Jessie Zoltak, her brother Dennis Zoltak, in-laws Jacob/Dorothy Strand, Leslie Strand, Orville/Judy Valerius, Donna Nelson, Joyce Wilson, Frank/Florence

Budziszewski, Jerry Kania, Jeffrey Valerius, Margaret Wilson, Mark Budziszewski.

Survived by husband Jay D. Strand, son/daughter-in-law Jacob E./Alexandra Strand, grandson Sebastian Strand. Further survived by Karen/Greg Knoke, Karen Zoltak, Marvelle Strand, Julie Kania, Curt Zoltak and Brenda Whitley, Lory/Dan Wychlendt, Cheri Woelfl, Sandra/ Dean Paulson, Susan/Mike Adams, Christine Strand, Robbie Valerius, David/Cindy Budziszewski, Jackie/Terry McGovern, Sue/Rich Block, Mario Ramiez, Anne Loren De La Barra, Camilo Ramirez, Josefa Ramirez.
