Janet Mary Omick (Nee Neudauer),West Milwaukee.

Born March 7th (in an undiscussed year), Heaven gained another Angel on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 when Janet passed peacefully with her family by her side.


A devoted & loving wife, Janet is survived by her husband Allen Richard Omick. Together they journeyed through over 60 years of life.


A proud parent of Craig Omick & Sharon (Wayne) Marton (nee Omick). Grandchildren: Rebecca Omick (partner Jeremy Check), Rachel Omick, Sheila Marton, (special friend Ben Brown), Sean Marton, Grant Marton, (fiancé Kimmy Mehlert) & great-granddaughter Lily (Rachel’s daughter). Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and additional family and friends.


Preceded in death by her mother Florence Neudauer - Pietrzak (Nee Szelmeczka), Fathers Edward Neudauer & Max Pietrzak, Brother Edward (Donna) Neudauer & Sisters Susan Wojciechowski & Mary Pietrzak.


A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend & valued volunteer, Janet was proud to make life better for other people.

Often noted are their many special memories with family & friends at the family cottage on the lake in the Oshkosh – Omro area.


Born in Milwaukee, Janet attended St. Adalbert School & was a graduate of South Division High School. After high school she attended Alliance College in Cambridge, PA.


Janet worked as a librarian & for the Stark Candy company (home of the Snirkles Candy Bar & Candied Raisins) & for many years worked for the Government at the draft board.


A dedicated volunteer for years, Janet worked for a number of organizations:

Mazur Polish Dancers an accomplished ethnic costume dancer, Janet & the group were featured in National Geographic’s magazine.

Mazur Polish Dancers Board of Directors, being with the group for over 50 years

The VFW Post Marching Group.

A member of St. Florian Catholic Church & the St. Florian’s Players

Lifetime member of the Polish National Alliance.

First elected female on the board of Directors of The Polish American Congress – Chicago.

Girl Scouts Leader.

Boy Scouts Den Mother.

PTA member for Pershing School – West Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Teachers Education Association (MTEA).

League of Women Voters.

Chair of the Democratic Party for West Allis, West Milwaukee.

West Milwaukee Election Poll Commissioner & Supervisor


West Allis Cable - A dedicated accomplished volunteer, Janet enjoyed being a Writer, Director, Producer, Camera Crew, Creator & Co creator of many Award Winning Shows.

Member of “Viewers Voice”- West Allis

Her 1st cable series "American Heritage" ran for 15 years.

Her 2nd cable show "People of West Allis” enjoyed a 7 year run.

Janet received awards for Most Shows Produced for the series "American Heritage.”

Successfully ran the Christmas call-in show to Mr. & Mrs. Claus for many years.


West Allis Charities – Served 25+ years as a member.

West Allis Western Days – For years Janet oversaw Security for the event as well as organizing the Parades & was very involved with the events lineups and vendors. Janet even filled the role of Ms. Claus for the Christmas Parade for a year.


Facebook - Janet wrote many interesting, informational articles on Facebook for, Wisconsin Memories Group (formerly Milwaukee Memories). Her dedication to historic details & fun storytelling lives on… online.

A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, March 5th at Clifford’s Restaurant.
