Janet M. Blaszczynski

Blaszczynski, Janet M. (Nee Bugiski) of Chapin, SC, died at home on May 6, 2016 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Dennis for over 30 years. Loving step-mother of Pamela Gill (nee Blaszczynski) and Gregory (Marilyn) and proud step-grandmother to their children Alexa and Catelin Blaszczynski. Born in Braddock, PA, Janet is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Catherine (nee Mihalek) Bugiski and her brothers Edward and infant William. Further survived by her brother Daniel (Elaine) Bugiski and their daughters Kari (Kevin) O'Brien and Jenny (Peter) Ziedins; her sister Laraine (Stan) Kozlowski and Laraine's children Jay (Liv) Springfield and Lisa Springfield (soon to be Mrs. Jeff Fowlkes). Janet retired from IBM after 36 years of service, primarily in Administration & Human Resources staffing and management positions. Throughout her career she worked at various IBM sites in NJ, NY and Florida before final retirement in SC. She was a member of Our Lady Of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin, SC., & cooking & travel were her primary interests. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Adalbert Cemetery in the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum (3801 S. 6th St., Milwaukee, WI) on Friday May 20 at 11AM followed by the inurnment. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
