January 2, 1927 — December 22, 2016

Jane Lillian Meyer (Nee Tremper), age 89, died peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born to George and Lillian (Schlondrop) Tremper in Milwaukee on January 2, 1927. Jane graduated from Washington High School and earned a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Milwaukee-Downer College in 1949. She married her high school classmate, Conrad George Meyer, Jr. on August 19, 1950 and together in Racine they raised three sons: Conrad III, Thomas, and Robert. As a family, they enjoyed more than a half century of summers in their cottage at "the lake" near Burlington. To her last days, Jane found great joy in her wide circle of friends and she remained active in garden and bridge clubs and service to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Greendale. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her sister, Joyce (Donald) Meyer; her sons Conrad III (Mary) of Seven Lakes, NC; Thomas (Mary) of Mt. Horeb, WI; and Robert (Laurie) of Wauwatosa, WI. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Andrew, Benjamin, Aaron, Christina, Jonathan, Anthony, and William; along with a great grandson Quinn and several nephews and nieces. The family gives thanks to Pastor Carolyn and the doctors, nurses, and aides of the neuroscience unit at St. Luke's Hospital, especially the Aurora Hospice team, for their care and comfort during Jane's final days. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Ev. Lutheran Church, 6705 Northway, Greendale, Wisconsin 53129 on January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Jane's name to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
