Born in Evanston, Illinois on February 25, 1946. Found peace on April 9, 2022. She grew up in Wauwatosa, WI and was a proud graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in 1964. Jane attended Marquette University and then went on to model and work in interior design. In 1982 she created Jane Kerwin Homes, Ltd. and was proud to be celebrating her 40th Anniversary year in business, which was started at a time when there were very few women in the construction business! One of her many honors over the years included being named in Milwaukee Magazine in 1987 as “One of the most interesting people in town”, early in her building career. Her custom homes have been enjoyed throughout the greater Milwaukee area, for their commitment to detail and impeccable design. Building homes was her true passion and that legacy gave her immense joy. Jane lived in Greendale for over 45 years and loved the community. She was a member of the Greendale Planning Commission for many years. In 2020, Jane established the Jane Rademacher Kerwin and Wendlick Mental Health Awareness Fund at DSHA. It was created to bring experts to DSHA to support mental health and wellness for students, faculty, parents and members of the wider DSHA community. She was a passionate and colorful person who loved the arts, music, a good debate, and watching her grandchildren succeed in their interests. Jane is survived by her son, Casey (Pam) Kerwin and her daughter, Candace (Daryl) Wendlick. She loved children and was a proud “Grand Jane” to Carley, Sophia, Camryn, Spencer and Harper. Jane is further survived by her brother, John (Sandy) Rademacher, as well as nieces, a nephew, other relatives, revered friends and business associates. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Rademacher and Irene Lowinski, and her dear sister, Mary Rose. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the St. Lukes MRICU for their exceptional care provided for Jane. A Celebration of Life will be held at Boerner Botanical Gardens (9400 Boerner Drive, Hales Corners) on Friday April 22, 2022 from 4 until 6 pm followed by a prayer service and eulogies at 6 pm. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital appreciated.
